After the last post, I've had a few emails asking how things are and what the medical declarations have been, so I thought I would update.
My stepdad is doing great. I don't know the final numbers, but as of Wednesday night before surgery on Thursday, they had pulled off 45 pounds in fluid. The surgery was a wonderful success. When we talked Saturday night, he was home, and he sounded so much better. He wasn't winded, and he was looking forward to be healthy enough to get rid of some of his extra weight.
My family is all healed from the virus and are doing great.
My tests went well. We received the blood tests back, and they were all normal, which means I didn't have a heart attack. The stress test will show if they are concerning issues that would lead to a heart attack, but right now, the thoughts tend to be it was either sore chest muscles or indigestion.
Pretty exciting stuff for one week. Monday was completely boring. Rob went back to work. I was home with the children. We did school, and I did some much needed cleaning. It was so wonderful!!! In fact, I called Rob at work and said, "I love today." When he asked what had happened, I answered, "Nothing, and I like it."
I pray I always have the wisdom to be thankful for nothing...

I'm glad Jerri!
I'm thankful for nothing sometimes too! I need to be more often though...
I hope you just had sore chest muscles - seems to be the easiest to deal with...
Have a great rest of the week!
Amen to that! I am thankful for nothing. Sometimes you need time to breathe and dry-off after weathering a storm. I will keep your family in my prayers.
Jerri,
I am new to the blog sphere, only a few months old. I have been reading your blog and Jan's. I know that this has nothing to do with your current blog, that is how far back I am going. I love the topic of womens self love. I struggle with that daily and am looking at plastice surgery to help me loose the weight that has haunted me most of my life. I pray that Psm 139 would just take root and I could break free of the bondage that is holding me down. Thank you for your insight and please if it is not too much to ask would you prayerfully help me in this struggle with my self image.
Toia,
Thank you for your prayers. It has been an amazing week. I hope to post about it in the next day or so. It will be lengthy, and right now, time is short. I refuse to abbreviate the story. It is simply too good!
Blessings!
